Defending families from the arrogance of government

Australia has long prided itself as a free spirit. A nation of people in control of our destiny with a hard-working culture in love with life, liberty, and the natural gifts of our beautiful country.

We consider ourselves as creators, industrious business owners, and parents to the next generation.

We also believe that the values of mum and dad should be the primary influence in a child’s life.

And yet somehow, in the last few decades, schools have been transformed from a system that supports education to a tool of indoctrination, propaganda, and division.

Children leave school more intolerant, and less informed about their world, than when they entered. They are fed opinions, rather than knowledge.

This betrayal of trust between working parents and the education system was orchestrated under Labor and Liberal governments alike.

While education is a state-based issue, the instruction to ‘interfere’ in the sacred bond between parent and child started at the top – in the federal government – in the Labor and Liberal leaderships.

This interference continued in 2024 with the Under 16 social media ban. We can only assume government felt it was losing control of children’s minds – that it recoiled at the thought of them listening to a Joe Rogan podcast or watching a video debunking Climate Change. Those in power certainly did not trust parents to ‘correct’ this influx of independent thought. Worse, children might start educating their parents!

It is for this reason, and this reason alone, that Albanese and Dutton joined forces to rob parents of their right to control access to social media.

They have decided how you will parent.

One Nation believes that you are the parent and you have the right to decide how to raise your children.

It was only yesterday that the same Labor/Liberal alliance tore up the financial and energy security of this country based in part upon the rambling speech of Greta Thunberg. She was under 16 when her activism began. What are our politicians saying? That a child is smart enough to change the direction of public policy, but not mature enough to engage with social media?

No doubt it is similar to the major party wisdom that says a child can make life-altering, permanent decisions about their body when it comes to transgenderism – yet we must ban colourful sweet alcoholic drinks for adults in case children think they look appetising.

These politicians are using children to coerce adults. They see enforcing control over the beliefs of the child as being paramount to election success.

Control can be demonstrated in blind acceptance of an ever-increasing pile of Nanny State Laws. Of course the laws don’t matter, indeed many are nonsensical. (Remember you couldn’t catch Covid sitting down, yet you could standing up?)

It is not the law that matters. Rather, it is the compliance it demonstrates that matters.

This is not government, it is imprisonment.

Let me reassure you, your children are not at risk if you tell Mr Albanese and Mr Dutton ‘No!’

You will have a chance to tell them ‘No!’ early in 2025, at the federal election.

‘No!’ when you put One Nation first, in every seat where a candidate is running and, most importantly, in the Senate.

There, your ‘No!’ will empower my ‘No!’ when voting against the seemingly endless stream of tyrannical legislation in the Senate.

To ensure that Australia remains free, and parents remain in control of their children’s education, we need more One Nation representatives to echo the wishes of everyday Australians.

We will do that. Every One Nation voice is your voice.

At this federal election, your vote will count. Make your voice heard.

It counts so much that Labor and Liberal are spending a fortune and burning through more taxpayer money trying to lure you back into their lies and faux promises.

These days it seems the major parties are trying to buy everyone’s vote except the vote of those who work, pay taxes, and abide by the law. There is nothing on the table for Menzies’ Quiet Australians. That’s why Mr Dutton is trying to run a fear campaign to present himself as the ‘saviour’ from Labor, even though his party – the left-leaning Liberal Party – is the architect of so many of the worst policies in the last 20 years.

Who was it that signed the Paris Agreement? Who allowed the long march through the institutions to take place under their watch? Who oversaw a catastrophic level of migration? Who undercut our energy grid to our largest geopolitical threat, China? Who sold off Australia’s most important deepwater ports? Who allowed foreign citizens to buy up enormous chunks of Australian farmland? Who brought in Digital ID? Who tried to ban cash? Who authored the first Misinformation and Disinformation bill?

These are not mistakes. This is a pattern of behaviour.

A vote for One Nation is a vote for a different pattern, one informed in principle, courage, and honesty.

A true conservative vote is still a conservative vote. Put One Nation first. Put the freedom parties next. Then Liberals ahead of the Teals and Labor, with Greens last.

Don’t listen to Liberal faux conservatives. You have not wasted your vote. You’ve enhanced and maximised your vote.

What you will have done is ensured the party whose values you believe in most are allocated the votes and the funding that follows, to keep building a party strong enough to challenge the dangerous policies of the uniparty system. Like Reform has done in the UK, One Nation can do here.

And in the case that neither One Nation nor the small parties get sufficient votes and preferences to win, your vote will go to, and end with, the Liberals.

Thus guaranteeing Labor does not get your vote.

The Westminster system is designed to ensure that your vote is your voice.

Every One Nation seat gives people back control of the Parliament – one seat at a time – one member at a time – one vote at a time.

Labor and Liberal are always trying to blame One Nation for the Liberal-Labor election problems. Their problems are of their own making. If you hear our name come out of their mouths, you know they are desperate – and you know they have failed.

The uniparty believes that we need a ‘Big State’ to keep the children of Australia safe – those children being you, the voter.

The truth is, Labor and Liberal are the ones that need a nanny to control them and a parent to reprimand them for their temper tantrums. They are the terrible two.

They don’t trust you, and you shouldn’t trust them to govern without the watchful eye of minor parties.

If I am re-elected to the Queensland Senate, I will make sure that the government stays out of your paddock, off your beach, away from your national parks, and at arm’s length from your children.

In 2025 it’s high time we reassert our God given right to defend our families from the arrogance and hubris of government.
