The first thing you notice about Donald Trump’s victory speech is the stage behind him. America is standing on that stage. From the sea of flags to the crowd of people – we have witnessed one of the greatest political comebacks in history.

‘We have thousands of friends,’ said President-elect Donald Trump, having turned the nation red.

‘This is a movement like never before. The greatest political movement of all time. It will reach a new level of importance because we are going to help our country heal. Our country needs to heal very badly. We made history for a reason tonight. Look what happened. This is crazy…’

That last bit came with a soft laugh and a cheer from the crowd.

It would be fair to say that no American presidential candidate has faced as much opposition as Donald Trump. The Deep State mobilised every corner of its web.

They tried to jail him. They tried to kill him. They could not beat him.

Donald Trump will be the 47th President of the United States of America.

‘I will fight for you,’ he pledged. ‘Your family. And your future. With every breath in my body. I will fight for the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve … this will truly be the Golden Age of America.’

At the time of writing, it looks as though Trump has won the whole kit and caboodle – the popular vote included – something Trump described as ‘a great feeling of love’.

Upon inviting the Vice President, JD Vance, to the microphone, Trump said, ‘He turned out to be a good choice…’

After the cheering died down, JD Vance added that after pulling off the greatest political comeback in history, ‘we’ll lead the greatest economic comeback’.

Of Elon Musk, Donald Trump said, ‘A star is born…’ How fitting for the man leading the space race.

It’s been a long campaign, with Trump saying he had been to somewhere in the order of 900 rallies.

‘God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save this country and to restore America to greatness … we will keep our promises.’
