Dear Mr Dutton,
I hope Rowan Dean’s prediction on Sky News Australia’s ‘The Outsiders’ that you will win the upcoming election is as accurate as his prediction that Trump would romp it in. I like your work so far. You certainly read the mood of 61 per cent of Australians on the Voice referendum where the ‘Yes’ vote was championed by most of the media, big business, and the Woke brigade.
Might I suggest some policies that probably would tap into that 61 per cent in the imminent general election?
As to power policy, you should propose that we not only abolish the nuclear ban but also the Net Zero policy. Coal may be a four letter word, but it has also has been the backbone of Western Industrialisation and its ensuing prosperity. Abolish government renewable eneregy subsidies. Let the free market decide which energy source can provide the cheapest and most reliable form of energy. Perhaps then Australia might become an energy superpower as it was prior to the new religion of Climate Change taking hold among the elite.
Confirm your recent statement that if elected you will only have the Australian Flag displayed on official occasions. Also confirm that the Coalition policy is that ‘Welcome to Country’ and ‘Smoking’ ceremonies, as David Littleproud recently suggested, should be used rarely, if at all, and not have the government shell out $450 thousand dollars on them annually. Voters don’t want or need to be welcomed to their own country.
Slash immigration. It is disguising the per capita loss of our standard of living and prosperity. It is also a major cause of the national housing shortage and the horrible 1930s-style antisemitism blighting our nation. Also, reverse Wong and Albanese’s UN anti-Israel stance.
Freeze the automatic periodic tax increases on fuel and alcohol. Better still cut them. That would be a big vote winner in the outer metropolitan and regional electorates.
Reverse the incoming Labor/Green ban on live sheep exports.
Freeze or better still cut the number of public servants that has unfortunately burgeoned under Albanese and Jim’s circus which has blown government spending further out of control. Particularly do so in Canberra where they will never vote for the Coalition anyway. A review of their remuneration should also be worth considering. It seems ludicrous to ordinary voters that many public servants are paid a salary far in excess of Ministers of the Crown.
Oppose the social media ban for children under sixteen. Surely it is a matter for parents to decide what sites and when their children can access social media? Don’t allow it as a left wing back door for a National Digital ID card.
Especially after what they did on New Year’s Eve with Sydney’s fireworks display, privatise ‘their ABC’. The ABC is an anachronism. It served its purpose last century but has become an unnecessary burden on taxpayers with the massive advances in technology since its inception. Given their ever-declining viewers and listeners, why should every taxpayer subsidise the indulgences of the inner city left. I am happy to pay my subscriptions for the media I watch and read but not to contribute to ABC viewers and listeners indulgences.
I would guess and hope that if you took on board some if not all of the above policies you might just win the same voters that voted ‘No’ in the Voice referendum. Anyway, good luck Mr Dutton and I look forward to your election as Prime Minister in a Coalition government.
