100 days of chaos

Just before the election, Rishi Sunak warned that Labour would cause irreversible damage to the UK within their first 100 days.

Since we have crossed Labour’s 100th day in power, I have summarised the key ‘highlights’ of their time in government so far…

We begin with the removal of the Winter Fuel Allowance from nearly two million pensioners, despite this not being mentioned in their manifesto.

Next we have the setting free of 1,700 prisoners ahead of schedule under the early release scheme. 37 prisoners were let out by mistake, five of whom went missing and a significant proportion of those released early (57 so far) are back behind bars.

Keir Starmer accepted tens of thousands of pounds worth of freebies including glasses, suits, and clothes for his wife from a donor who miraculously ended up with a temporary Number 10 Pass.

You might remember the Blue Lights Scandal where pop star Taylor Swift was given a blue light escort to Wembley gigs despite the Met police originally rejecting the request. There were a few free tickets floating around in there too.

Inflation busting pay rises were given to public sector workers, who are continuing to threaten strike action as they know they will be given what they want. This includes a 14 per cent pay rise for train drivers, who already earn double the UK national average salary, duly negotiated by their union ASLEF, who donated £100,000 to the Labour Party including £4,000 declared in the register of interests by the son of Starmer’s former chief of staff Sue Gray, who is working as a ministerial aide to the Department for Transport.

Labour have lost £1 billion of investment from P&O due to comments made by Angela Rayner and Louise Haigh.

What about stability? Chief of Staff Sue Gray was ousted after just a few months in the job…

Labour has given away the Chagos Islands (a British overseas territory) to Mauritius and British citizens are now paying for the privilege of giving away our own territory without consulting the Chagossian people.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy was snubbed by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu despite the country being one of our closest allies.

A summer of violent riots took place where Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, completely lost control or peace and order.

The Manchester Airport assault remains in the air, with the alleged perpetrators not yet charged nearly three months on despite CCTV footage.

The UK is set to lose more millionaires than any other country by 2028 thanks to Labour’s anti-growth, anti-business policy.

More than 13,000 migrants have crossed the channel in their first 100 days.

Seven Labour MPs have lost the party whip.

One Labour MP (Rosie Duffield) has already quit the Labour Party.

Energy bills have gone up 10 per cent despite Labour promising to bring them down.

Labour has unveiled plans to ban smoking in pub gardens.

They have lost 13 council seats in by-elections since the General Election.

To put it simply, 100 days of Labour has meant 100 days of chaos, 100 days of scandal, 100 days of sleaze and corruption, 100 days of lies and broken promises with absolutely nothing good to show for it. No wonder the British people have already had enough. I have never in my lifetime seen a government do this badly, so quickly.
