We are watching breaking news unfold after the former President of the United States – and current Republican Presidential nominee – Donald Trump appeared to be shot at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump was mid-speech when a series of ‘pops’ were heard.
It took a moment for everyone, including Donald Trump, to realise what was happening.
He put his hand up to his ear in apparent shock. Later we learned that he had been grazed by a bullet.

He shouted ‘Get down! Get down! Get down!’ to protect the audience behind him who were in the line of fire. The Secret Service rushed in. As Trump was standing to leave, he instructed them to wait while he put his shoes back on, evidently determined to walk off the stage looking every bit like the next President.
Reaching around the Secret Service, bleeding from the ear with blood smeared across his cheek, Donald Trump fist-pumped the air. ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ he shouted, without a mic.
The crowd responded by chanting, ‘USA! USA! USA!’ as he was whisked into a waiting car.

We do not know who shot him, but if it was the Democrats all we can say is that their aim is as bad as their politics.
It’s not the only violence been seen on the political landscape. France has been under a violent campaign of intimidation and public damage at the hands of Antifa, the communists, the pro-Palestinian supporters, the socialists, and the Greens during the last round of elections. Reform leader Nigel Farage had a milkshake thrown in his face and rocks chucked at a campaign bus.
There is a pattern of violence following the failure of propaganda to silence the conservative popular revolt across the West.
CNN reported the attempted assassination attempt as, ‘Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally’.

Donald Trump will now almost certainly win. As far as historical politics goes, and as morbid as it is, attempting to kill a political figure makes them far stronger.
They become a symbol of democracy under fire.
