An amusing and TRUE anecdote from a Spectator Australia ‘No’ volunteer at a Voice referendum booth this morning…

Volunteer: ‘Vote NO to the Voice of Division. Would you like a How to Vote card for NO?’

Voter: ‘No, I already know how I’m going to vote. I went to a seminar on the referendum on Wednesday night. Surprisingly, they only had speakers for the YES case there.’

Volunteer: ‘Okay, but would you like me to explain the NO case to you?’

Voter: ‘I already know how I’m going to vote.’

Volunteer: ‘But you’ve only heard the YES case. Wouldn’t you like to hear the NO case so that you have both sides?’

Voter: ‘No need; I heard all of the YES arguments; so I’m voting NO.’
