Elder abuse is any act within a relationship of trust which results in harm to an older person. It can be emotional, psychological, financial, physical or sexual abuse, or neglect.

It is no secret that I detest modern politics and the vast majority of politicians. The entire political system is nothing more than a corrupt, nepotistic, morally bankrupt scam, manipulated by the wealthy and privileged, to keep the working class living a passive, unfulfilling, and most importantly, subservient existence.

Having said that, whilst I truly enjoy watching America’s political system implode into itself, I find no joy in witnessing the catastrophic cognitive decline of sitting President Joe Biden. Whether you agree with America’s insatiably belligerent foreign policy, no one can deny that the US is indeed, the world’s police. That’s not to say that America is fair or just, rather that they hold the biggest stick and therefore, for the most part, keep everyone in their place. It’s not the perfect system, but at least there is a semblance of global stability under their rule. Through intimidation alone, as they burn bridges faster than China can rebuild them, they do not need to be liked, only feared.

Unfortunately, no one fears a frail man who often seems confused.

After all, if he cannot stand firm on his own two feet, he cannot stand firm against those who threaten his nation.

There is no honour or satisfaction in discussing someone who is not aware of their own cognitive decline, but to those who have experience in Aged Care or have lived with an elderly relative for an extended period, his condition is cause for concern. The President often has trouble moving around, falling or stumbling into the arms of his handlers. Without a prompter or cue cards, he is unable to engage in conversation, with his memory visibly impaired while his ability to articulate his thoughts coherently is failing. It is truly a depressing sight for anyone with empathy for their fellow man.

How can any decent human being sit by and watch this abusive scenario play out? This once proud and confident man is now paraded around like a human marionette – told where to stand, where to walk, and what to say. Have we become so indifferent to the suffering of our veterans and elders that this does not bother us at all?

Consulting the Queensland government’s guidelines, I have selected a few key identifiers of Elder Abuse to see if we can find parallels.

Elder abuse can include: frightening someone by threatening to hurt a pet or break belongings.

With his son Hunter on the precipice of alleged serious criminal tribulation, how sure are we that there is no conflict of interest taking place in the leadership?

Stopping a person from seeing family or friends.

It is evident that the President is being shielded from difficult and unscripted questions. He is rarely available to speak to the media, and when he is, his appearances are usually brief and often incoherent. Additionally, the Democratic executives have decided to hold no primary debate for candidates, which is understandable if their incumbent is no longer capable of meaningfully engaging in the process.

Denying someone the right to make their own decisions.

On several occasions, the President has been observed responding to visual cues for where to stand, where to walk, sometimes even requiring active assistance from others. On one occasion he even stated, ‘He’s not supposed to be answering all these questions.’

Misusing an Enduring Power of Attorney by taking money or property improperly.

Whether you agree with America’s involvement with the Ukraine/Russian conflict, it certainly appears that the American Military Industrial Complex is leveraging Biden’s cognitive decline to funnel federal moneys into arms production. There is evidence to suggest that these weapons are being sold on the black market for even more profit.

Neglecting a person’s physical, medical or emotional needs AND not allowing services to help someone.

To disguise his decline, ‘The White House released Joe Biden’s health report on Thursday, describing an 80-year-old President who is “healthy,” “vigorous” and “fit to successfully execute the duties” of his office.’ Not only is this clearly questionable, it exposes the President to further harm from his own efforts to ‘keep up appearances’. By forcing him into activities he is no longer able to effectively undertake, the stress to his already failing mind will not be conducive to his long-term health.

There must come a time – hopefully soon – when those who are really pulling the strings realise that no amount of profit is worth the complete and irreversible collapse of the US dollar. After all, what’s a billion dollars’ worth in a currency that has no value. It would seem that they are intent on milking poor Joe to the final drip, and that his well-being is clearly of no consequence to their laundering schemes.

It is not an exaggeration to say that the world is laughing at this man’s suffering, and while it may be tempting to join in the ridicule, remember that weakness attracts predators who would do much worse than what the US are capable of. Weakness of mind breeds weakness of body, and should we permit the continued parading of this ailing elderly man for the world’s entertainment, it will not end well for any of us.
